In 1986 he graduated from the University of Stuttgart with the ‘Diplom-Ingenieur’ degree in Architecture. In the same year he received the Merit Award in the international competition sponsored by the King Fahd Program with the project, Housing in Zeyrek, Istanbul. He worked in various offices in the USA including Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, New York. In 1995 he became the founding partner of Ark Limited and worked in this capacity until 2018. He is currently working as an architectural consultant and teaching part-time at Bahçeşehir and MEF Universities.
